Why we have these rules - These rules have been put in place to provide a fun & safe environment and to keep the forum open and available to everyone.
Only 1 membership/registration per user. Users with multiple personalities will be deleted.
Do not advertise your website(s) or friends websites in signature files or on the forum. Links are permitted if pertinent to the thread. If you want to add your website, add it to your profile & to the members website section.
No racial or ethnic insults or any other personal discriminations.
No posts meant to offend or hurt any other member, in a manner which is offensive or inflammatory.
Pornography, warez, or any other illegal transactions may NOT be linked in any shape or form.
Everything will be taken on a case by case basis, but we are able to ask a member to edit their post, as well as edit the post ourselves, delete a post/thread, ban member, etc.
Regarding Privacy - Please do not give out any personal information such as phone number, postal address, zip code, last name, or anything you do not wish others to know. If you choose to ignore this request, we cannot be held responsible for the consequences. Name, Age, Gender, Location, and Birthday are all optional upon registration. As stated above, only email address, username, and password are required. Please know privacy is very important to us; we will never divulge your email address to anyone without first asking your consent. If you get "spam" emails from a member (this can occur if you don't check the "Hide email address from public?" checkbox on registration, you can also change this in your profile) please report the email address to us so we can investigate.
Everything in a private forum stays there, however, please note that We cannot control the actions of each and every member and we are not responsible for their actions. There is no guarantee that your personal information won't be posted if you choose to provide other users with certain information. (Example, if you tell another member your real name, and they post it on the public forum.) Just remember, you are responsible for your own actions and words, not DeviantMetal.com
Attachments can be a max size of 500x500 pixels, max 125 kb per image, max 4 attachments per post.
Avatars are max 100x120 pixels
Signature files are max 400 width x 150 height pixels - Links are not permitted in signature files.
Personal Messages - Often referred to as a "PM" . An internal email of sorts. For members to be able to communicate with each other, or if the staff needs to communicate something with members. Remember, these are personal messages and not private messages. Personal Messages can be reported, which a copy of the message is sent to the staff.
Users are able to report Posts & Personal Messages to a moderator. If you are being harassed by another member, if you see "spam" messages or something inappropriate, you can click on "Report to moderator" link in the bottom left of each post/PM.
We may change these rules at ANY time. Please check them whenever you return to the site. We will treat your continued use of our site as acceptance of these changes from their effective date as shown above.
